This Privacy Policy explains how the YVR (Yarlagadda) mobile application ("the App") collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal data. The App is operated by the MLA Office Gannavaram ("the Office") for constituent services in the Gannavaram constituency, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India.

By installing or using the App, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.

2.3 Information from third parties

Google Sign-In: When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, name, and profile picture.
Supabase: Our backend provider stores the data you submit (see Section 6).
MLA Office's own public Facebook posts (Facebook import): The MLA Office Gannavaram imports posts that it has itself published on its official Facebook page, for the purpose of republishing them as News Articles and Development Activities inside the App. These posts are the Office's own content — they are not private messages, third-party posts, or content from other users' profiles.
Third-party personal data in imported posts: An imported post may mention names, villages, or public events involving citizens. Phone numbers and other contact details appearing in imported posts are visible only to authorised constituency staff and administrative roles — they are never shown to public users. If you appear in an imported post and want it removed, email mlasofficegannavaram@gmail.com.

You may revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking permissions may disable certain features but does not delete data already collected.

4. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account.
Verify eligibility for government welfare schemes and civic services.
Route grievances to the correct official and track resolution.
Match blood donors with emergency requests.
Match job seekers with relevant opportunities.
Send notifications about your account, grievances, and announcements.
Display your profile and public interactions to other users — only the fields you choose to make public.
Republish the MLA Office's own Facebook posts as News Articles and Development Activities inside the App.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate registrations.
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not:

Sell your personal data.
Use your Aadhaar number for any purpose other than scheme eligibility verification.
Share your contact information with advertisers.
Use your data for targeted advertising.
Import private Facebook messages, third-party profiles, or news screenshots from other publishers.

We do not share your Aadhaar number with any third party except as required for the specific government scheme application you initiate.

6. Data Storage, Security & Retention

6.1 Where data is stored

Supabase servers: Data centers in the Mumbai region (India) where available; otherwise Singapore.
Your device: Local encrypted storage for offline access.

6.2 Security measures

Encryption in transit: All communication uses HTTPS/TLS 1.2+.
Encryption at rest: Sensitive fields (Aadhaar) are encrypted at rest.
Row-Level Security (RLS): Database policies restrict access on a need-to-know basis.
Role-based access: Only authorised constituency staff can view grievance data or contact details in imported posts.

6.3 Retention

Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a valid deletion request.
After 24 months of inactivity, we anonymise or delete your account data, except where retention is required by law.
Grievance records: retained for 5 years as required by government audit rules (anonymised after account deletion).
Imported Facebook posts: retained for the lifetime of the source Facebook post. Removed on request within 30 days.
Crash logs and analytics: retained for 90 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — view it in the App under Profile.
Correct your data — edit it in the App under Profile.
Delete your account and data — see the dedicated page at yarlagadda.best/delete-account.html or email us at mlasofficegannavaram@gmail.com. We will process deletion within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Object to imported content — if you appear in an imported Facebook post and want it removed, email us.
Withdraw consent — by deleting your account or revoking permissions in device settings.
Lodge a complaint — with our Grievance Officer or with the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The App may link to external websites (e.g., government portals, source Facebook posts). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies separately.

11. AI-Generated Content

The App uses Google Gemini to generate summaries, reels, chat responses, and form auto-fill suggestions. AI-generated content is labelled with an "AI-generated" badge. The AI does not make decisions that affect your legal rights. Only the specific inputs you submit to AI features are sent to Gemini; we do not send your Aadhaar number, password, or authentication token to any AI service. Imported Facebook posts may be processed by AI to categorize them as News Articles or Development Activities — no authentication data or private messages are ever sent to any AI service.

12. Political Content Disclaimer

The App displays content related to the Gannavaram constituency's development activities, including content from the MLA Office's own public Facebook page. The App is not affiliated with any political party. All political content is either user-submitted or sourced from the Office's own public posts.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects changes. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
